Whether you want to take lessons with RCM Certified faculty in piano, cello, guitar, voice, and more for pure enjoyment or to perform at a professional level, there is something year-round for everyone at the Oscar Peterson School of Music.

Formal music lessons are a powerful way to help children reach their full intellectual, social, and creative potential. Our early childhood Smart Start™ program is designed to provide the best start for children as young as newborns and up to 6 years old.
Budding young musicians will find a fantastic place to start their creative journey at The Royal Conservatory. Students as old as 4 years can enroll in our Music Enrichment Program (MEP), a curriculum that includes professional, one-on-one instruction and musicianship/theory and history.
It’s never too late to discover, or rediscover, the joy of studying music. Taught by some of The Royal Conservatory’s best teachers, our classes for adults 18+ fit a variety of skill levels. From beginner to advanced, there is something for everyone.
Studying music theory and history is key for well-rounded musicianship. Taught by members of the RCM College of Examiners, students acquire musical literacy, harmony and composition skills, and historical context for the music they play.
The Oscar Peterson Program promotes inclusion and equity and provides the highest calibre music education to underserved youth from the Toronto area.
Committed to the ongoing training of teachers and artists, The Oscar Peterson School of Music offers teacher certification courses and professional development options including ongoing education in internationally recognized methods.

Taking place at our historic downtown Toronto location, intermediate- and advanced-level music students will learn with leading pedagogues and internationally renowned guest artists in our inspiring two-week summer programs that will challenge and develop their artistry. Auditions are required.
