Private Lessons: Music Enrichment Program

- Instructor:Oscar Peterson School Faculty
Course Description
The Royal Conservatory Music Enrichment Program (MEP) is designed to develop superior musical skills in school-aged students. This comprehensive program focuses on both practical studies (playing an instrument), musical literacy (musicianship & theory), and performance skills. Children emerging from our Smart Start early years program--or any other early years program--can start private lessons as young as age 4. Students playing stringed instruments typically start at a young age and learn through the Suzuki method.
Lesson packages available for durations of 30, 45, 60, 75, or 90 minutes depending on the instrument. Students must be 4 years old as of December 31 of the current Academic Year (Academic Year runs from September-June).
Younger students generally start lessons on piano, strings (violin, viola, cello), guitar, and percussion. As of 9 years students can study other instruments such as double bass, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, French horn, tuba, and voice.
